Will I come back again in 6 months’ time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

This Bukit Batok Street 31 coffee shop stall specializes in traditional Singapore seafood. For this 2016 review, I have tried their sliced fish soup with rice for $4.00. There were 6 fish slices, 1 bowl of soup and 1 bowl of rice in my food portion.

Although the fish slices were fresh, healthy and medium sized, they were bland, lacked the “wow” factor and too little to satisfy the hunger of an adult. Besides fish meat, the soup had bitter gourd, cabbages, doufu and tomato slices as food ingredients. The soup had a thick veggie taste but zero fish flavor. Rice was well cooked and did not suffer from dryness, roughness or sticky problems.

To sum up, the food here was cheap but average tasting and severely lacking in essential ingredients. Unless you are a seafood fan living in Singapore west, my advice is to ignore this stall and visit tastier alternatives in other coffee shops.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Add more fish meat for future customers and review the soup’s preparation process.
