Will I come back again in 6 months’ time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

This stall sells traditional Singapore beverages including coffee, tea, barley drink, chestnut drink, grass jelly drink, soya drink and sugar cane juice. My mother and I have tried their chestnut drink for $1.50. For a similar price, I could get a cup of sugar cane juice in the same hawker centre.

The entire drink was filled from top to bottom with ice. Most people would finish the drink in less than 2 minutes. As my mother tasted more of this beverage, she told me there was a mild sugar cane taste in it! I took over and helped her to finish this drink. I did not agree with her claim. My opinion was that the drink was too mild tasting and devoid of chestnut goodness.

To sum up, the chestnut drink here was awkward tasting and quite “watered down”. I will advise my blog readers to try out other beverage alternatives in the same hawker centre.
