Will I come back again in 6 months’ time? No, there are better alternatives

My opinion:

Min Nan means “southern Fukien” in Chinese (Fukien is a Southeastern province of China). This Tiong Bahru hawker stall specializes in traditional Singapore Chinese noodles and has been featured in Mediacorp’s “Buzzing Cashier” (抢摊大行动). For this 2016 food review, I have tried their signature pork rib and prawn noodles for $4.00.

There were 2 pork rib pieces, 2 prawns and moderate amount of noodles in my food portion. All the meat items were delicious, fresh and huge (by hawker standards). Noodles were well cooked, not too soft and mixed well with the other ingredients. Although the soup was warm and did not have a thick MSG taste, it was average tasting and lacked any meat goodness.

To sum up, the food here was economical, plentiful and had a few flaws that prevented me from coming back in the near future. If any of my blog readers want to taste their food, my advice is to try their dry version but give the soup version a miss.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

Thoroughly review the soup’s preparation and production process.
