My opinion:

Good ‘N’ Jolly specializes and excels in traditional Singapore laksa. Customers can choose the $2.50 small option or the $3.00 big option for their laksa meals. For this 2016 review, I have tried their small option and was happy to uncover another rare food “diamond”.

There were 3 cockles, half a marinated egg, lots of fish cake slices and moderate amount of rice noodles in my food portion. Cockles were fresh, medium sized and lacked the “wow” factor. Egg was soft, well cooked and did not have a pungent smell or taste. Fish cake slices were addictive, plentiful and mixed flawlessly with the other food ingredients.

Rice noodles did not soak up too much soup and were of the right texture (not too rough or soft). Soup was appetizing, flavorful, fragrant, tasty, warm and among the top 5 that I have tasted in 2015 (major plus points).

In conclusion, the food here was economical, heavenly and could satisfy my monthly craving for laksa. If you are a laksa fan living in Singapore east, Good ‘N’ Jolly is highly recommended by my website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

They are strongly applauded for their service to Haig Road residents and are advised to continue their good work. I will visit them regularly to check for consistency.
