My opinion:

The name of this food business can be highly misleading to foreigners or people who are unfamiliar with Singapore. “Beancurd City” is not a city, town or village but a roadside shop stall that specializes in traditional Singapore soya products. For this food review, I have tasted their soya bean curd with no add on flavor and items for $1.30.

The dessert was given to me in a traditional bowl. It was big, sweet, warm and filled with soya goodness (major plus points). As I tasted the bean curd more, it was silky smooth and did not suffered from dryness or roughness issues (commonly associated with soya desserts). Honestly, I took more than 5 minutes before finishing my food adventure.

In conclusion, the desserts here were economical, healthy, rejuvenating, tasty and well prepared. If you are a dessert fan living near Bugis, Jalan Besar or Lavender, Beancurd City is highly recommended by my website.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

They are strongly applauded for their service to Jalan Besar residents and are advised to continue their good work. I will visit them regularly to check for consistency.
