My opinion:

This stall specializes in traditional Singapore fishball noodles. I have tried their $3.00 dry fishball noodles for lunch. There were 3 fishballs, 1 fish dumpling, 6 pieces of fish cakes, 1 bowl of soup and moderate amount of yellow noodles.

Fishballs were fresh, medium sized and very springy (major plus points). Fish dumpling skin was too rough and did not mix well with the meat ingredients. Fish cakes were average tasting and too little to make a significant contribution to the food’s ratings.

Soup was not too oily or salty and filled with the fragrance of fish meat. Yellow noodles were rough, tasty and mixed well with the other food ingredients. The food’s Achilles heel was its chili. It was so salty that I had to keep drinking the soup in order to finish the food.

In conclusion, the food here was cheap, delicious, simple and badly let down by the salty chili. Therefore, I will recommend their food to hardcore fans of Chinese noodles. Before placing the orders, foodies can ask the friendly owners not to put too much chili on their noodles.

Ways for the owners to improve their food ratings:

First, more fish cakes should be added to their food. Second, the chili’s preparation and production processes must be thoroughly reviewed. If the owners find that troublesome, I will advise them to buy their chili from suppliers.
